In my personal experience of consulting over the last 20 years, I have found that 70-80% of all Imaging Sites we serviced had serious Image Quality Control issues that needed attention. I have seen problems such as Daily Non-Uniformity Results routinely above 25%, PMTs completely nonfunctioning, COR calibrations out of specification. We have been asked by Interpreting Physicians to diagnose unknown issues that were causing artifacts in clinical images.
